Nothing has failed with it at all when I bought it, the personal sides floodlight of the flip would not remain because of a worn paper clip, but it was fast fastened when I got the new part of GM. I also simply changed the Buick Reatta Oil Filter because it was old. This took ten minutes and a small muscle. The other clever the car is in the original condition and nothing has failed.

The Reatta is a fantastic and rare car. Mine is the rarest and the most desirable thing of all of them. This is a convertible 1991 blue in the blue leather with the white summit. I bought it from my boss who kept in Florida his entire life as a car of condominium. It was rarely driven except by me and his wife and it sat in a heated garage rest of time. Buick Reatta Radiator is a real collection able and possibly one of the most agreeable. This has the mileage very under 38000 kilometers or less than 20000 miles for you Americans. Big car.

It's a well-known fact that front-wheel-drive cars tend to only take so much power before torque steer takes over and the car darts off in whichever direction it chooses. Despite healthy doses of 258 hp and 286 hp, respectively, both the base TL and Type-S manage to feel no worse for wear. Its steering is incalculably precise, and the car's cornering is tack-sharp. The Type-S in particular is the best that front-drive gets. In fact, only when driven aggressively back to back with rear-wheel-drive competitors like the Infiniti G35 or Lexus IS does the TL start to suffer from its drivetrain. Yet for a majority of buyers, the TL provides a tremendously sporty driving experience that nevertheless is the smoothest operator in its segment. Even the edgier Type-S is well within the acceptable range of ride comfort. Whether on a straight slog from K.C. to Denver or on a high-speed tour of the Smoky Mountains, the 2008 TL delivers.With its excellent features and parts like the Acura Tl Mud Flaps,etc you'll always have a hassle-free ride...

For those who define "luxury" as prominent swaths of wood trim and chrome accents, the TL is likely to disappoint. Subtle wood trim can be found on the base model's center console, but otherwise, this Acura goes for more of a sporting motif with dominant alloy trim, and in the Type-S, faux carbon fiber. Both TL models are beautifully crafted, and that's where this luxury sedan really shines, with near bulletproof build quality and top-notch materials. The Type-S differentiates itself with more aggressively bolstered seats, red instrument lighting (versus cobalt blue) and two-tone leather.

Crammed full of electronics, the TL is thankfully pretty easy to operate -- even for those who wouldn't know the difference between an iPod and an iPhone. As Acura and Honda slowly migrate to an iDrive-like electronics interface, the TL features like Acura Tl Mirror
the good-old touchscreen setup (bolstered by voice commands) for navigation-equipped models that's easy to figure out and operate. Enjoy it while you can.

Tuners: 2004 Acura TL A-Spec

"First the good news: Acura's all-new 2004 TL is such a marked improvement over its predecessor that, even in base trim, it outgunned the well-regarded 2003 TL Type-S in our performance tests. The bad news: Acura says it won't offer the new TL in Type-S trim. But there is something even better, called A-SPEC, that will be available on TLs and other select Acuras.

The 2004 TL makes use of a torquey SOHC, 24-valve 3.2-liter V-6 that churns out a solid 270 horsepower (up 10 from the previous Type-S). It serves up 238 pound-feet of torque and runs buttery smooth right up to 6200 rpm. Acura judged this "good enough" for now, so no engine mods are part of the A-SPEC package. This also helps the company avoid costly recertification. Thus, A-SPEC upgrades concentrate on suspension and bodywork enhancements.

Externally, the A-SPEC hardware consists of an aero kit that incorporates a front air dam, small chin spoiler, body side skirts, Acura Tl Ignition Switch and a choice of two different rear spoilers--a small trunklid spoiler or a larger (yet still tasteful) rear wing. The aero kit was wind-tunnel tested and produces more downforce while generating a slightly improved overall Cd.

A-SPEC badging flanks the body panels, and the TL's well-trimmed interior is left alone save for a recontoured, slightly thicker racing-style steering wheel.

The A-SPEC's performance enhancers involve more aggressive suspension tuning, as designed by Makoto Tamamura, the famed chassis engineer behind Acura's NSX sports car. Most visible are the 18x8.5-inch alloy wheels and grippy 235/40VR18 Yokohama AVS ES100 tires. They look great and provide a notable improvement in traction without being noisy. Unfortunately, there's no tire sidewall bulge to serve as a wheel-rim protector, so you're almost guaranteed gouges from curbside parking misjudgments. The rest of the underpinning mods include a track-tuned shock and coil-spring combo that lowers ride height by one inch. Special attention was paid to spring rate and shock valving to ensure sportier handling without the tradeoff of a harsh on-highway ride."

What's Hot?

we congratulate Acura for transforming a run-of-the-mill Accord into a competitive, Euro-savvy, entry-level sport sedan. The TL trounces its competitors with top-notch electronics and, aside from the minor brake issue, proved essentially bulletproof during our long-term test. It might not be a BMW-beater or an Infiniti-equal, but the TL hits a sweet spot in the market as a sporty, affordable front-drive sedan with a list of standard features like Acura Tl Ignition Coil that'll keep most buyers more than satisfied.
Our Take
What's Hot
• Italian-esque styling
• Super-duper DVD/audio surround sound
• List of standards as long as a football field
What's Not
• Torque steer will annoy lead-footed drivers
• Convoluted shift gate can irritate
• Tires don't live up to suspension's intent
Don't Miss
• Voice activation will set your HVAC, up your volume, and find the nearest Mexican restaurant, all without lifting a finger.
Bottom Line
• Luxury and power are plentiful, the stereo is among the best, and the price undercuts the Germans. If only they could put those sweet ponies to the rear wheels.
From The Logbook
"I used the voice-activated nav system to find my favorite sushi place in Las Vegas. Knowing I was nearby but not remembering exactly what street it was on, I asked the nav to 'find nearest Japanese.' It took us right to it."
-Brian Vance

"My biggest gripe is the torque steer. This would be the best midsize, midlux, midpriced sedan on the market...were it rear-drive."
-Matt Stone

"The TL is the first affordable car I've driven in years that has an interior that looks and feels exclusive. It's the kind of interior that makes an owner feel like, 'Wow! I can't believe I get to have this for my very own.'"
-John Matthius

"Combine the amazing DVD/audio system with the XM Satellite Radio, a six-disc CD changer, and eight speakers, and this TL has arguably the best stock sound system available in any OEM car on the road."
-Ron Sessions

"Does admirable double-duty as a competent stoplight racer and a long-highway cruiser."
-Mark Williams

"The TL is more of a commuting appliance than a driving machine. Too bad, because there's so much potential in a car with 270 horsepower, snug seats, tight structure, and a good price. It has many of the elements a G35 possesses, save one: passion."
-Chris Walton

A Long-Term Test Verdict: 2004 Acura TL

"At about the 12,000-mile mark, during a 15-mile downhill grade, the TL's brakes began to fade, resulting in a noticeable steering-column vibration. We suspected warped rotors. A few weeks later, the dealer confirmed that the front brakes needed resurfacing. New front brake pads also were required, but everything was covered under warranty.

The TL's handling received plenty of praise. Though it can't carve canyons like some of its rear-drive competitors, the TL has a fun chassis for an eight-tenths scoot through local curvy roads. Some of our crew found the TL's steering well tuned with a sporty feel; others commented that it felt unnaturally light and overboosted. All agreed the TL's torque-sensing, Acura Tl Hood Lift,variable-assist system felt darty during quick turn-ins.

Perhaps the steering would've improved had Acura installed better rubber on the stylish 17-inch wheels. We were disappointed to learn that the automatic transmission is available only with mud and snow tires. Six-speed manual TLs offer stickier rubber, which our track tests have proven increases handling power and lowers braking distances significantly. Though our car's 235/45R17 Bridgestones are aggressive in size and profile, their all-season tread detracts from dry-weather grip. We also noted that this particular tire size makes the wheel rims susceptible to curb dragging. We left more than our share of silver wheel paint on Southern California curbs, the price you pay for snazzy shoes.

As the miles accumulated, some interior plastics began showing signs of premature aging. The kick panels and door thresholds took a serious day-to-day beating, making the interior look older than it was. Most conspicuous was the TL's patterned dash fabric. At about 10,000 miles the matte-black dash began to turn a milky-white color. Although this might've been caused by the sun (unusual for such low mileage), more likely a damaging cleaning/detailing product found its way onto the dash at a full-service carwash. Slowly but surely, the dash has continued to lose its original color."Acura Tl Hood Lift

"Acura's TL is now into its third generation, but it wasn't until the latest rendition that its German competitors (and many U.S. consumers) began to notice. For 2004, Acura treated its always capable but blandly styled volume-selling sedan to a redesign that had most of our staff wondering if an Italian design house had penned the sheetmetal. The crisp lines, short rear deck, and tightly drawn shoulders (plus a new 270-horsepower V-6) put the TL on many shopper's sport-sedan short lists--and prompted us to add a 2004 TL to our long-term fleet.

Every Acura comes packed with standard goodies that are usually pricey options on competitors' vehicles. This TL is no exception. The $35,195 sticker got us a five-speed automatic, electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, navigation, voice recognition, Bluetooth phone capability, XM Satellite Radio, and an eight-speaker surround-sound system with DTS signal processing and DVD/Audio (first ever in a production vehicle) that'll impress even the snobbiest of your audiophile friends. In fact, positive comments about the audio system accounted for the majority of the logbook's entries. One editor wrote, "The audio system is so good, if it played DVD movies I'd watch them in here rather than on a bigger screen." Said another: "The DVD/Audio is so sharp and clear, I'd swear I can hear every word to 'Wooly Bully.'"

The 3.2-liter V-6 is another in a line of ultra-refined Honda engines that deliver high horsepower while also meeting strict ULEV emission standards. The TL's six received plenty of logbook praise for its refinement and eagerness to rev all the way to redline. The five-speed manumatic matched to the V-6 is quick and smooth, though several editors found the notchy shift gate difficult to maneuver.

While 270 horsepower from a six-cylinder and a whole lot new Acura Tl Hood seems reason enough to purchase a TL over less-potent competitors--BMW 330i and the Lexus IS 300--torque steer (the TL is a front-driver) remains an always-present problem whenever the engine is delivering max juice. Suggested one editor: "If Acura wants to sell a front-drive car with this much horsepower, the engineers should figure how to tune out the wheel wiggle."

Acura upped its interior game with this TL, adding finer materials and more stylish design than in previous versions. The leather seats feature pinhole perforations, and faux wood has been replaced by real metal trim on the center console (so real, unfortunately, that it became vulnerable to tiny dings and dents). At a glance, the center stack appears to have an overabundance of buttons, but spend time in the driver's seat and the ergonomics seem quite logical. The driver's seat is a nice place to be--especially at night, when the instrument panel lights up in vibrant blue, red, and white colors. Acura clearly paid considerable attention to interior aesthetics--the better to compete with the premium interiors of Lexus and the German brands--and the effort has paid off."

A One-Year Test Update: 2004 Acura TL

"Awesome audio system. If it had a DVD movie player, I'd watch movies in the car instead of at home." While the DVD audio player and stereo system continue to get high praise in the logbook, one editor went off about the Acura's NAV system: "My biggest beef with this car is the ridiculous lawyer screen that won't even allow you to 'agree' with the safety message until you've had time to lip-read the entire screen."

We're also starting to notice that the "interior plastics--kick panels and door thresholds--are taking a beating and not aging well, making the car appear older than it is." Perhaps a good detailing will help. Another editor noted on a trip from Lake Tahoe to Carson City that he'd "experienced a bit of brake fade after coming down a 15-mile grade. I was barely on the brakes, but toward the bottom of the grade slight brake application caused noticeable steering column vibration. That was two days ago, and it hasn't happened since." We'll mention this condition during the next scheduled service.
Maybe a good Acura Tl Heater Core, might be of help...=)

Here's want you
"The TL went on a road trip to Las Vegas, earning praise as a great highway cruiser (with supportive seats and plenty of interior amenities) and a terrific place to spend time on the road. Acceleration is smooth, and the car has excellent passing power. CDs are usually brought along, but thanks to XM Satellite Radio, many don't get played. The TL has more miles on it than any other long-term vehicle currently in our fleet--evidence enough of how much fun this car is to drive. Around town, it has the ability to play with stoplight racers, yet also makes for a comfortable recliner for the long hauls. The TL suffers from torque steer, however, especially during hard first-gear acceleration, as when launching up an on-ramp. A few staffers also aren't crazy about navigating through the notchy shifter quadrant.

12-month update

    * Mileage to date 17,047
* Average test mpg 21.9
* Problem areas
Brake fade (corrected at 15K service)
* Maintenance cost
$76.46 (7.5K service); $78.25 (15K service).
* Normal-wear cost $0
* Excellent Acura Tl Headlight Bulb

The NAV system saved us more than once. We've had to be at specific locations at certain times, and without the NAV, we would've lost too much time in traffic. The 15,000-mile service included an oil/filter replacement, tire rotation, and visual inspections. The dealer also inspected for pulsating brakes on long hills (diagnosed as warped front brake rotors). They resurfaced the rotors and installed new brake pads under warranty. Total cost: $78.25."

Honda Throttle Body Spacer

If you want to increase the horsepower of your Honda without sacrificing fuel economy, a throttle body spacer may be the answer to your dilemma. Honda throttle body spacers boost engine precision by a considerable amount. And this in turn will result to both increased power productivity and amazing fuel economy.
Honda Throttle Body Spacer
The Honda throttle body spacer is a simple component. It's chief advantage is to improve the airflow quality in your engine. Used to create a larger space in the middle of the intake manifold and throttle body, it allows a faster flow of air. When the air passes the fuel injectors at the increased velocity provided by the Honda throttle body spacer, it will mix with the fuel sprayed by the injectors with much more efficiency. This will then produce a mixture of much more condensed air and fuel that will burn cleaner in the cylinder, improving fuel consumption and releasing more energy.

And what's more, since the Honda throttle body spacer improves fuel burning, it decreases the toxic emissions that escape from your vehicle into the air. Therefore, the throttle body spacer complements and helps preserve other car parts that measure and control these emissions. Examples of these parts are the catalytic converter and the oxygen sensors. And better fuel mileage is something that will be greatly appreciated by anyone who owns a vehicle, what with the continuous oil price hike. Just imagine the bucks you will save at the pump.

It's like hitting several biggie birds with a teeny-weeny stone, isn't it? That's how useful a Honda throttle body spacer could be, so get it right here from us.

Honda Fuel Pump

With the benchmark performance that your Honda boasts of, it is imperative to complement the engine with a fuel delivery system that can keep in step during its power generation. In most cases, fuel delivery that is not up to the job leads to fuel starvation. This does not only rob you of a considerable amount of your car's potential power, but can even cause extensive engine damage.
Honda Fuel PumpTypified by car stalling, hard starting, misfiring, and sluggish acceleration, fuel starvation is commonly the result of the fuel tank not performing up to specs with the engine. With the Honda Fuel Pump at the heart of your car's fuel delivery system, fuel starvation can be prevented. Using state-of-the-art assembly of non-return valves, the Honda Fuel Pump regulates the system's pressure level to ensure that an efficient fuel flow is being pumped into the engine.
Depending on your car's current fuel delivery system, the Honda Fuel Pump is designed to handle both the delivery of low-pressure fuel to the carburetor, and high pressure to the fuel injection system. Showcasing top-of-the-line fuel pumps from renowned manufacturers like Bosch and Holley, the Honda Fuel Pump boasts of a universal fit to complement various engine setups.
Taking the fuel delivery technology to the next level, Honda Fuel Pump sports a turbine-operated pump design which, compared to older roller-cell and inner-gear pumps, greatly reduces fuel pulsation as to service your Honda with a near-silent operation. With its precision, spin-balanced and polymer-encased armature, your car benefits from the reduced noise and vibration. Eliminating fuel pulsation gives you improved drivability and assures the pump's longevity. Added features of the Honda Fuel Pump includes the revolutionary impeller ring for a smooth fuel flow and reliable performance. This component of the Honda Fuel Pump ensures that your car runs on an optimum engine performance.
The Honda Fuel Pump traditionally sits cheek by jowl with the fuel tank and relies on the fuel to wash the heat away from the pump. This is done to place the Honda Fuel Pump in a performance-boosting location where it is spared from heat that may affect its operation. But, with the advent of fuel injection system that necessitates more than one pump, the Honda Fuel Pump is honed better-equipped to provide the engine with high-pressure/low-volume pump for race car-specs fuel delivery system.
